KASEY KAHNE QUOTES
“This season certainly hasn’t turned out the way we expected for the No. 9 Dodge team. We got off to a slow start and then gained some momentum with the win at Richmond. Just when we thought we were back on track, the bottom fell out again. It’s been a battle, a tough season.
“We are trying to use these last few races to build momentum for the 2006 season. We had a good run at Phoenix last year, qualifying in the top five and finishing in the top five. We finished outside the top 10 earlier this year, but on the lead lap and in a position to have had a better finish.
“Everyone knows how the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series stirs up sand in the desert. The No. 9 Dodge team is looking to stir up more than sand. We’re after momentum, lots of momentum for the 2006 season.”
