McCaskill to drive No. 9 Puryear Tanklines Dodge Charger at O’Reilly Raceway Park

Rookie driver Deac McCaskill will be making his NASCAR Busch Series debut behind the wheel of the Evernham Motorsports No. 9 Puryear Tanklines Dodge Charger at O’Reilly Raceway Park next weekend. McCaskill, coming from the ranks of the Late Model Stock Car Division, is the current champion at Southern National Raceway Park for the second time in three years. McCaskill also placed 5th in points in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Weekly Series in 2006.
“I have to thank Ray Evernham for granting me this opportunity” said McCaskill, a native of Raleigh, NC. “I feel privileged to be making my Busch Series debut with such a strong team. I am confident in the equipment of the No. 9 Dodge team and look forward to a good weekend”.
The Evernham Motorsports No. 9 team is currently 6th in the NASCAR Busch Series owner points. In 20 starts, the team has one win, two top-5s and four top-10s.
The race will be televised on ESPN2 from O’Reilly Raceway Park on July 28, 2007 at 7:30pm.
